The Knee, The Head, and the Thumb

SUMMARY: Oh, yeah, all those pathetic body parts

The knee held up remarkably well until finally it started giving in on Sunday, but that's probably largely due to (a) no time for icing until 2 in the afternoon, with two walkthroughs and two runs in the meantime, and (b) a couple of very painful incidents involving the knee that had nothing whatsoever to do with agility--forgot myself and knelt down quickly (owwwwwwwwwwwwYikes!) and someone opened a car door in front of me unexpectedly on the bike and I slammed my wrong foot to the ground (yowwwwwwww)--that's also the day I tripped over a chair trying to get to the coolr to make an icepack (ayayayayayaouch!). It all came together nicely to really aggravate it. Has been slightly swollen & slightly painful only, but as of last night and right now it's only the size of a small grapefruit and aching.

The headache did go away with the 2nd Maxalt, thank goodness.

And my left thumb is swollen and painful and completely stiff, can bend the 1st joint only about 10-15%. What's the deal with that? WHY CAN'T THEY LEAVE ME ALONE? I have NO clue why. So, I repeat--it's time to go sleep on it.
